New and second hand books
We stock a wide and ever changing range of books. Whilst we will ‘keep our eyes out’ for a particular text we do not normally take orders. It really is a case of coming to the stall and seeing what we have at any one time.
The books we stock are ones we think are interesting with subjects literally from A - Z.

Most of our new books are offered at a considerable discount off the recommended price. In addition to our enjoyment of selecting interesting books from our wholesale sources we have also put texts by local authors on the stall. If you are an author we would be pleased to hear from you.
Second hand books
Getting good (content and condition) second hand books is a real challenge. Our sources are many and various with the occasional lucky find in a most unlikely place! We do occasionally buy books at the stall but, as with all the products we sell, we try to keep our book prices down so are not able to pay high prices. However, tracking down suitable second hand books is one of the many enjoyable parts of running the Simmering Cauldron.
