Smudge Sticks (bundles) and White Sage leaves
Smudging is part of many Native American traditions. The burning of herbs for emotional, psychic, and spiritual purification is also common practice among many religious, healing, and spiritual groups.
The ritual of smudging can be defined as "spiritual house cleaning." In theory, the smoke attaches itself to negative energy and as the smoke clears it takes the negative energy with it, releasing it into another space where it will be regenerated into positive energy.
Smudging can be used in ritual or for cleansing, clearing or freeing.

Smudging can be used on crystals (see our crystal leaflet), personal objects or areas of your home or work. You can also smudge yourself to boost your spirits or in meditation or prayer.
We stock a range of 5” smudge sticks which are good for larger smudging - £4.50.
Also mini Sage sticks at £1.50
In addition to the sticks we have bags of loose Californian white sage (Salvia Alpine) at £1.20 bag. This is a scrub plant with spiky flowers only grown on the coastline of Southern California. These are just the job for smaller smudging such as crystals or personal objects.
